Online Blackjack Shuffle Tracking

Online Blackjack shuffle tracking is a pretty recent technique intended to give an online Blackjack player an edge over the casino.

It is generally defined as being the technique of following or 'tracking' specific cards during the shuffling process with the objective of either removing them from play (by cutting them out) or keeping them around.

Do not assume that because one or more decks of cards are shuffled that the cards are utterly random. This is generally not the case. Some Blackjack online experts maintain that cards need to be shuffled up to 35 times in order to be completely random or properly shuffled.

The best shuffle you, as an online Blackjack gambler, can hope for is a standard deck of 52 cards to be split equally into two 26-card stacks and then shuffled together three times, minimum.

However, there are a variety of 'different shuffles' that casinos use to give them a bigger edge against you and I as players:

The 'Unbalanced Shuffle' is when the dealer cuts the deck into two disproportionate cards stacks. For instance say you are playing a hand and the last of 10 point cards are dealt. In that hand, you lost to the dealer because of the greater frequency of low cards left in the deck.

Now, say the dealer shuffles the cards and separates them into one stack of 30 cards and another stack of 22 cards. This is known as 'unbalanced shuffling' and is enough to lessen your advantage over the house in online Blackjack.

However, there is a way to make it work to your advantage. Closely watch the shuffle and when you're asked to cut the deck, if you can, cut the deck precisely at the end of the last of the 10 point cards mentioned above. If you get this right, you'll be in a pretty good position.

Why, because you will now be playing from a deck with an abundance of 10 point cards, much the same as when you started playing from the deck after the shuffle before.

Other shuffles include the 'Strip Shuffle', 'Zone Shuffle' and the 'Stutter Shuffle'. If you are intent on becoming an above average online Blackjack player, take some time out to research these and other shuffling methods to improve your game and odds of winning.
