Online Blackjack Betting Systems
To become a successful online Blackjack player, there are essentially 3 things
that you need know: The rules of online Blackjack, a basic online Blackjack
strategy and online Blackjack betting systems.
While the first two have already been discussed on this site, let's take a look
at online Blackjack betting systems. There are three basic online betting systems you
should be aware of:
Progressive Betting (Two Levels)
This system is probably the simplest and most basic of all. All you have to do
is decide on a maximum and a minimum bet and stick to them, effectively
maximizing your winnings and minimizing your losses.
For example, if your maximum bet is $10, you would bet that amount after every
winning hand and if your minimum bet is $5, you would bet that amount after
every losing hand.
Progressive Betting (Five Levels)
This is another fairly basic system, but one based on a 'one, two, three, five,
one' progression. In other words you set yourself a bet that you increase
according to the above progression after each winning hand.
For example, say you hit a winning streak, your betting would be as follows:
hand 1 - $5, hand 2 - $10, hand 3 - $20, hand 4 - $25 and hand 5 - $5. After
every losing hand, you would start the progression at one again.
This can be a very lucrative system, particularly during winning streaks.
The Martingale System
The Martingale System, which is over two centuries old, dictates that you
double your bet after each losing hand. The thinking here is that you will
eventually get a winning hand and cover your losses from previous bets.
For example, if your initial bet is $10 and you lose three hands in a row but
win the fourth, here is what your betting would look like: hand 1 - $10, hand 2
- $20, hand 3 - $40, hand 4 - $80. This system allows you to 'recover' all of
your previous bets.
However, the downside of using this system is that you need a large bankroll,
you only just cover your losses and you need to play at an online casino
containing Blackjack games without table limits which most, unfortunately, have.
In addition, you need to be a resilient and strong player to willingly double
your bets after every loss.
